The hotel was a mixed experience with excellent rooms but some service issues and a lively location. The rooms, though overlooking a rooftop, were well-furnished with a super-comfortable bed and ample pillows, providing everything we needed. However, the service, while welcoming initially, had some dramatic and unwelcoming moments, especially with the bar staff. The location, while enjoyable for some, was likened to a lively nightclub in the early evening, with pricing that may not suit everyone's budget.

Rooms
8.0
The rooms were excellently furnished with a super-comfortable bed and exceeded our expectations.
Service

The service had welcoming moments but also some unwelcoming incidents, especially with the bar staff.
Location

The location, though enjoyable, can be lively and resemble a club scene in the early evening.

The dining experience was warm and well-presented, albeit at a higher cost that may not suit all guests.

The facilities were for granted access and decently priced for what was offered.

5.4/10

Returning to our room around 10 pm after an evening out, we were met with loud thumping music that continued well into the early morning. From our window, we could see flashing lights and balloons across the street, indicating a party was in full swing. Not the ideal atmosphere to relax in. Despite being at the higher end of the price range, the room was a gamble that paid off. Although it lacked natural light as it looked onto another building, being a heritage room meant it was not cheap. The room decor, while fitting and decorated in a period style, was not to my taste, feeling quite dark.

Rooms
7.0
The room decor was not to my taste, very dark, but fitted and decorated in a period style.
Service
5.0
The service was underwhelming, with dramatic and unwelcoming interactions at check-in. The bar staff were extremely rude, and there was an uncomfortable encounter involving the staff member and my wife and her friend.
Location
8.0
The location is very convenient, right in the heart of the city and just across the road from a tube station. However, the overall vibe does not seem as inviting as the rooftop terrace.
Dining
5.0
Dining in Millie's Lounge was a mixed experience, with uncooked chicken being served but a nice gesture before checking in. The price seemed reasonable but the quality was not entirely to my liking.
Facilities
5.0
Although the facilities were available, the overall experience was not up to par.

The hotel room was absolutely stunning, even better than the photos depicted. It was impeccably clean with an excellent attention to detail, despite being a 'cozy' room and not a pricier suite. The bathroom amenities were a lovely touch, making the stay even more enjoyable. However, there was an attempt to add unexpected service charges to the bill, which was a bit of a downside.

Rooms
9.0
The room was flawless with attention to detail and extra amenities in the bathroom.
Service
7.0
The staff, especially Marion Frodeau, went above and beyond to assist and create special surprises for us. However, there was an issue with attempting to add undisclosed service charges.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location was ideal, with the subway just steps away, but it could be a bit tricky to reach via taxi or Uber. Additional dining options were available nearby, enhancing the experience.
Dining
7.0
The dining experience, though amazing, was on the pricey side at £63 for two. The location of the dining area wasn't as suggested, but the quality of the food was top-notch.
Facilities
8.0
The facilities were convenient and well-maintained, offering everything one might need during their stay.

7.4/10

The hotel's room, fitted and decorated in a charming 1940s style, was beautiful and had everything we could possibly want, with fabulous extras and plenty of retro flair. The service was a bit light and took a few extra times to resolve issues, but room service and other amenities were available. The location, near train stations and the West End, was very convenient despite some challenges reaching the hotel. The dining experience was good but not exceptional, with Chinese food on offer. Overall, a stylish and cozy hotel with some minor drawbacks.

Rooms

The room was beautifully fitted and decorated in a period style, reminiscent of the 1940s, with all the fabulous extras and plenty of retro style. It had everything we could possibly want in it.
Service

The location was very convenient, near train stations and the West End for evening entertainment, but it was a bit challenging to reach the hotel. The hotel under Millies restaurant was fabulously decorated.
Dining

Returning to my room on a Saturday was a delight - a well-furnished space with an incredibly comfortable bed adorned with more pillows than I own at home. I was impressed by the soundproofing, which shielded me from the noise and excitement, and the spaciousness was a nice touch. As a bonus, the bathroom toiletries from Cowshed were a refreshing touch.

Rooms
9.0
The room was excellent, with top-notch furnishings and thoughtful amenities. The soundproofing worked like a charm.
Service
7.0
The service was a bit of a mixed bag. While one staff member made check-in feel like a scene from a movie, the bar staff left much to be desired. However, the attentive Barbers managed to salvage the experience, and the extra mile taken to accommodate my strawberry allergy was greatly appreciated.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location in the city center was convenient, offering easy access to sightseeing spots and tube stations. The prime spot did come with some noise challenges, but the proximity to key attractions made up for it.
Dining
7.0
Dining at Millies Lounge was a hit and miss experience. While the selection was fantastic, the uncooked chicken mishap took away from the overall enjoyment. Nevertheless, the ample food options across various restaurants and room service made things easier, though the cost was on the higher side.
Facilities
The facilities were generally good, with the exception of some service hiccups. Despite these, the overall offering was satisfactory.

The hotel had a real wow factor in the rooms, and I loved the way the main entrance still had the banking hall feel. It was really lovely overall, though the access through the service stairs was a bit inconvenient, and once we left, we couldn't get back into the building. Despite this, it didn't feel like the price at all.

Rooms

The rooms had a real wow factor and were lovely.
Service
8.0
The front desk staff were amazing and really good with my 8-year-old daughter. However, the service disappeared for a while altogether, and a different waiter had to take over at one point.
Location
5.0
The location was uncomfortable due to extreme noise levels and chaotic with noise and people from the street. It was quite hard to reach by car or for Uber due to street closures.
Dining
8.0
The dining experience was excellent, and the food was delicious. However, it came on a trolley with no cover on the food, which wasn't ideal.
Facilities
